About
Hey!
I grew up on a sheep property around 64 kilometres west of Tambo, Queensland. Bush life shaped who I am – the wide open spaces, the animals, the sense of adventure, and the lessons it quietly teaches you about resilience, hard work, and grit.Like many bush kids, I was sent away to boarding school for high school, but it wasn’t the right fit for me. I left early and to complete my hairdressing trade. Once qualified, the bush called me home and I returned to work as a jillaroo – a chapter of my life I still hold close to my heart.
After welcoming my beautiful son, I returned to hairdressing and opened a small salon in Bundaberg. Within a year, that little salon grew into a larger one. Life, as it does, had other plans, and after losing that business I moved into mines. Four years later, I began an electrical apprenticeship, before realising my heart was still in the hair and beauty industry (with a little side quest or two along the way!).
I returned to hairdressing and completed my beauty qualification, which is where my passion for skin truly began. I was incredibly fortunate to work for a knowledgeable and passionate woman in Tully who introduced me to Algologie and deeply inspired my love for skin health. She and the whole team at Algologie taught me that skin is not just about appearance – it’s our largest organ, and caring for it properly is essential. Today, my focus is on helping clients understand their skin, care for it with intention, and feel confident in it. My journey hasn’t been a straight line, but every chapter has led me here – and I wouldn’t change a thing.
